Hi Everyone,

I got the same problem where apple id works everywhere except for the iPhone. Every other data can be restored from iCloud except for Apps

Things I did to fix it -

Called the Apple Support people by scheduling time and I got a call from them

The Apple CSR person asked for my apple id, DOB, first name, last name

Told me to goto Settings -> iTunes and App Store, click on Apple ID, select View Apple ID (enter password if prompted) and make sure payment information is updated. Everything was fine, still no go.

She then transferred me to the iTunes Department where another person took few more details and in 2 minutes just unlocked my ID

Issue - There was a recurring subscription that I had cancelled and the bank has thought that it was a fraud and had placed a lock on my Apple ID. This seems to be the case 90% of the time.

NOTE - Simply resetting password in iForgot or logging out and logging back in will not resolve the issue.

Hopefully this post is helpful enough. Have a nice day everyone

I used the advice from rnicks -- I called the Apple Care team and told them that there was a problem with the iTunes account due to a disputed charge. The Apple Care person was very helpful and transferred me to the iTunes support. I had to answer my security questions, provide the credit card info (partially, not in full), and it was reinstated. They were very helpful (Tiesha at Apple, and Mac at iTunes), walked me through the steps of turning off credit card charges to avoid any future charges, and I was up and running in less than 10 minutes all in.

I have been having this same issue. After an hour on the phone with Apple Support, it was a simple fix. My payment information was outdated and the card on file was no longer active. I simply changed my billing information with the iTunes support center. Not sure if this is everyone else's issue but it's worth a try. Save yourself time and go right to the iTunes billing/support department. Good luck!
