i have a old ibook g4 running 10.4.11. is there any way i can download the app store to download apps and programmes etc

Hi, I have a old ibook g4 i have just bought off a friend. its runing 10.4.11.


is there anyway i can download the app store or download programmes onto it?

i think i need to upgrade to 10.5 but i dot kow how to do this?

The G4 processor Macs can only be upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5 if they have a G4 of 867 MHz or faster. Otherwise, Mac OS X 10.4.11 is the highest operating system that can be installed.


If you can you upgrade the hardware of the computer, no that cannot be changed.


So you need to find a version of Office, or at least Word, that will run under the 10.4.11 operating system.


Try the MicroSoft website and see if they list a version for download that you can use.
