This is an old thread - what sort of problems are you having?

The Extensions folder that davidnajeradj is referencing is in your topmost System>Library>Extensions - on the root directly of your hard drive.

It's difficult to know if his instructions will help you without first knowing what your particular problem is.

Hey I am getting bad system lags and graphics glitches on my 4month old rMBP. I am also getting the resource hungry kernal task.

I found the extensions folder but "IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext" isnt in there.

Problem with high cpu usage magically solved.

I had the same problem with high cpu on process kernel_task. I've found that problem always ocurrs after my Powerbook2_9 with Maverick wakes up after sleep. I've tried several options mentioned in this thread ... nothing works for me ... The last was installation of memory cleaner (from appstore - it's for free). Being frank I did it "incidentially" , just to chceck application ... and miracle!!! after cleaning memory CPU usage drops down till next sleeep. . So You have to repeat memory cleaning. Works fine for last several hours.

I have the same problem with mi Macbook pro 13 retina late 2012 A1425.. looks like is a faulty sensor or low voltaje.. @kujamasaru did you resolved it? Or did you pay to get it done with the apple geeks guys?
