Problem starting some 3rd party apps OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion

I have two 3rd party apps that fail to launch.

For both the following is true...

- the app menu appears,

- the icon appears in the Dock,

- an active window does not appear,

- the spinning colour wheel of pain appears over any (active?) component of the app,

- right clicking the app in the dock indicates a "Force Quit" option due to softwarte not responding,

- Force quit is required.

I have uninstalled these apps initially using "App Trap", which usually grabs an appropriate "plist" file. I then delete from within my ~/Library any applicable and obvious com.xxxxxxx files from the folders Preferences, Containers, and Group Containers. Neither have any files in ~/Library/Application Support...

I have attempted to find a solution separately with the 3rd party app authors, however their methods have not worked. These apps are well known, I love using them both, and are usually rock solid, and both operate on OS X and iOS. I use both apps on both OS, however predominantly on iOS...

Anyone able to assist please?

Thanks in advance...

I don't like iCloud and don't use it myself, so I don't know much about troubleshooting it. I suggest you start by deleting the problem folder. You can then re-enable document sync and see what happens. The folder should be recreated. If you start to have problems again, you can either contact iCloud support or post a question in the iCloud forum, where you may find a better answer than I can give you.
