This always happens to me, but I found out how to fix it.

In Setting, Go to Wi-Fi, then you will see the networks where you can join, for example the name of the newtwork or wifi that you want to join is "123MyWifi", at the right side of it you will see a blue colored arrow icon pointing to the right, just press it. Then you will see there in the top most of your screen the name "123MyWifi", below that is "Forget this Network". Press "Forget this Network" then there will be pop out, just press "forget". After you forget your network just go back to "Wi-Fi" and reconnect on "123MyWifi" (your network or wifi) put the password if there is. Then you will be connected.

Have a nice day. Hope I helped you ;)

Did you ever restored your iPhone from back up? That is always causing the problems from iDevices. Try to restore your WIFI or do the reset. To rest, hold the shut down button and the home button at the same time for 10-20 seconds. Then your iPhone will turn off. Wait for 1 minute, then do it again to turn pn your iDevice. Tell me if it works now ;)

The same thing has been happening with my phone. I have determined that it has nothing to do with my router. It is the phone. I have put the phone right next to the router and it will not find it or any other wifi network. I even have tried connecting it manually by clicking "other network" and putting in name and password. When I do this it gives me an error message immediatly saying "Could not scan for wireless network" When I reset network settings or turn phone on and off 1 of two things happen. 1) It works for about 5 minutes and then it loses the network forever or 2) the wirless on or off option is greyed out and I cant even turn it on. My phone is still within the 1 year warranty. I just got off the phone with apple and they gave me options in which I must pay to get it fixed. The free option was to look on here....and "solve my problem on my own".

I have seen on other forums that the only fix is to get the phone replaced. I'm going see if AT&T will help me out.
