how to convert excel 2003 to mac

Hello all,


I am a devout PC person, however I recieved a an Imac as a gift. My question is, how do I convert several files to MAC?


Excel 2003

Outlook 2003 .pst fils

Word

Powerpoint


Any help much appreciated.

As long as the files are saved as normal .xls, .doc, and .ppt files Office 2011 for OS X will be able to read them. Office is available for purchase and download at www.mactopia.com.


The Outlook files are another matter. Search Google where you should find links to converting .pst files for the Mac if the version of Outlook in Office is unable to.


As pointed out you cannot convert the Windows versions of Office executables to OS X. But you can buy Office for the Mac.

I'm sorry, allow me to refine the question. I am looking to covert the data files created in my PC to Mac, not the programs themselves.


Then my original reply should tell you what you need. Get Office 2011 for OS X, and you will be set. If you don't feel like you want to buy Office, then you can try Libre Office which is a Java-based Office look-alike which is freeware.


These are all able to read and write MS Office files for the Mac or Windows.
