When I press the Volume Up button it opens up Dashboard?

I press the volume and it opens dashboard and other buttons wont work Properly

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hi, Got to system preferences, select keyboard. Uncheck -Use all F1,F2, etc....option in the first tab(keyboard) and it will fix it.

Yes I did reboot.

And yes I can still adjust the sound on the menu bar.


I also noticed that there is an eject symbol on my menubar which wasn't always there.

And I don't really think it belongs there since I have a Macbook Air and thus no CD/DVD reader.


+volume control keys on the noName bluetooth keyboard work.

on that one the control keys are in no relation to the f-Keys


Any other Idea what the Problem or maybe even the solution might be?
