wifi greyed out iphone 4s

I bet all of the people who's having that problem have everything, and nothing works! It's the update that mess up the wifi.

I have same problem it happened last 2days, until now I still don't know how to fix this very dissapoint

Try discharging the phone till it goes off, let it "rest" a few hours and then turn it on.

This worked for me for about a week,then it grayed out again and this "trick" worked again:)

Very common problem, as I'm fast learning. We're on our 3rd Iphone 4s now and our sons 4s has developed the same issue.

After many long discussions, multiple trips to the Apple shop and hours of trying different solutions nothing works for us unfortunatley.

Apple have been appalling with regards service and support. They infer there is an issue on Iphone 4s when update to 7.0.4 but they will take no responsibilty as it is the user that choses to upload the update not Apple.

My humble view is they created the issue and they should fix it, not expect thier customers ot wear the cost and inconvenience.

Please note there is NO obvious warning that flags the probable issue if you update your phone. It may be in the fine print but as a lay user I dint notice it.

Apple need to take some ownership for the problem and quickly right the wrongs that have done.

In the interim it appears the cival disputes tribunal, word of mouth and the media are the only paths to have them correct their error properly.

Dear Apple, I have two iphone 4s and two iphone 5s, one Apple imac 27", two ipads, and one Apple TV.. My iphone 4s 16GB WIFI does not work and is greyed out due to an upgrade of IOS software.. Ypur local support centre (shop) in Milton Keynes will not help me. Are ypu really telling me that my loyalty and hard earned money spent on ypur products accounts for nothing... This is business, and an element of business is looking after ypur customer base.. I do expect you to follow this up with me, as if this is not resolved I am reluctent to invest any more of my money in Apple. I have tried every reccomended solution on this forum and on YouTube.. Its simply a malfucntion in IOS software via Hardware. Please let me see your nice side again Apple as its all getting ruined by something so fickle. Regards. Richard

I am facing the same problem. Can't use WIFI , it's very frustraiting . Upgraded to IOS 7.1 . but same result.

I Have the same problem.. But you should try this one.. It's working for my 4s..

try to make your phone run out of battery.. When it's turned off permanently, connect to charger and wait for it to turn on itself..

then open control center to see the wifi.. Then try the wifi to connect network.

dont use hairdryer or freezer.. It will cause damage to your phone's hardware..

it's not your hardware has problem, it's just because lacking from ios and make the wifi not available..
