Can you merge Apple's "Pages" to a Word Document?

I am about to submit a document to Staples for reproduction. I have been using Word and just asked them if they can open "Pages". Waiting to hear, however, I thought I would ask the Apple Support Community if they know if Pages can merge, paste, or transfer to a Word Document?
