I correctly live outside of the U.S
I bought iPhone 5 (Verizon model 1429) at the U.S six mounts ago.
Last week my lock button has stopped working.
The guy at the Apple store in Europe (Barcelona) said I can replace it only at the U.S .
I was sure that the iPhone has an international warranty...
I'm not going to be in the U.S at the near future, any suggestions?

The iPhone has NEVER had an international warranty. The only thing close to an exception is that the E.U. is considered "one country" for warranty and service purposes.
If the phone came from the U.S., you will have to take it back to the US or send it to someone you know there to take it in for service.

well it does have a international warranty so im shocked that you have been informed otherwise. i can only imagine tht he said that is bcoz it is locked to a US network and not a Spanish one. đź maybe if it were an unlocked device they could have exchanged it for you.

This is not true at all. Iphones have never had an international warranty.
It is an unlock phone... and this model is the same as in US A1429

You can NOT get it exchanged outside of the US.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
That's so disappointing... đ
It is disappointing and there have been users on here pretty regularly who did not read the warranty terms and wanted to know why they were denied service support. As the others have said, this has been the consistent policy of Apple so is not a change or new thing.
If you know someone in the US, send the iPhone to that perseon and have them take it in for service, you cannot ship it to Apple as they do not accept shipments out-of-country.

What country was the iPhone purchased in? The only exception is an iPhone purchased from a country that is a member of the European Community is covered by all member countries since the EU is treated as one country by Apple.
While buying an used one, no one has idea, where it was bought from.
So, we need a way to find out, what country the iPhone covers the warranty for.
The model # under Settings>General>About includes information indicating what country it was built for. (e.g. LL = Unites States, AE = United Arab Emirates...)
Of course, the best way to be sure is to buy from a trusted source instead of some sweaty guy in his parents basement selling gray market iPhones on ebay.
