my iTunes 11.0.3 randomly crashes while playing music, any fixes?

Few key questions to better understand and isolate:

1. Have you deleted the App and .plist file and reintsalled?
2. Have you consolidated your iTunes Library?
3. What formats are you using for your media?

Yup, the same thing here. I have a 1.66 ghz Mac Mini Core Duo with 2 gigs of memory running 10.6.8 . It's only purpose in life now is to run iTunes and stream it around the house. It worked wonderfully unitl the 11.0.3 version of iTunes came out. Now it crashes many times a day when it is playing music.

Very annoying!

Have it running as an itunes server for Apple TV, crashed daily (unclear if it was actually related to playback or not)

Regardless, I deleted the old iTunes using sudo through the terminal and used Time Machine to restore the previous version of iTunes as described by W. Raider above and have had no problems since.

Clearly there is an issue with 11.0.3

I had to do the same thing, and revert back to iTunes 11.0.2 - i had to change the permissions of itunes so everyone can read & write before I could delete itunes 11.0.3, then restored with time machine. I couldn't recall the sudo command to delete it.

My time machine backup of the iTunes Library.itl was from about 22 hours before the upgrade on june 1st, but I had saved a copy from just minutes before I did the upgrade to 11.0.3, so I didn't lose anything (i.e. didn't have to re-add music and movies to library, since nothing had changed since).

Apple has released iTunes 11.0.4. You can get it here. Macworld says that "It also fixes a crashing bug related to switching between wireless and wired syncing." At the moment I'm not in a position to verify that it fixes the crashing problem for me.

I had a similar problem with iTunes 11.0.1 or 11.0.2, that required me to turn off wireless syncing. I fixed it by switching to another account to run iTunes. I checked and this is not the same error that I was getting before. Nevertheless, I had no problems with iTunes after that until I upgraded to 11.0.3.

Thanks for the info on 11.0.4. So far it's working fine, no pausing, no quitting, no reloading. So far.
