Older version of XCode

Hello all!

I'd like to buy myself a new Macbook in 4 months or so, but for now I have to use my old Macbook to program. If I download an older version of XCode, and it says iOS5 for example, does this mean that the version is only for iOS5 or everything above iOS5.

Sorry for the silly question...

It means you can develop for iOS 5 or below which essentially limits you to targeting iOS 5 as there are very, very few iOS 4 users.

It's the late 2009 white Macbook model. It runs Mac OS X 10.6.8
