CD-ROM`s are not working on windows 8 (Boot Camp)

I have installed Windows 8 in my MacBook Pro (2011) And it works fine. I updated my boot camp drivers today and now sound and brightness works great 🙂 But i have one problem, im trying to install my pc game to windows 8, but the disc wont appear anywhere on w8. I see it on MAC side, but not on windows side. What i can do? I have searched information of this, but i cant find anything. Somebody can tell me what i have to do?

Thank you!

I was having same issue here!

I found this solution:

If you go to start menu just type Device Manager.

-Go to View and choose Show hidden devices.

after I did this my DVD/CD ROM drives appeared and my DVD drive apperead listed as

OPTIARC DVD RW AD -5690H ATA DEVICE , but greyed out.

If you click on it you can search for drivers, but Windows says I have the latest required ones.

Then go to Google and search for drivers of your drive.

Install , and restart.

Should be working now!
