Hi Meg, very rude of you to tell an iphone user asking for help to "get a phone is not an iphone". If you don't have good advice, don't comment please.
If a tool does't meet the need, get a tool that does. I stand by the advice. What useful advice do you have?

It's also very rude to resurrect a five month old thread and offer no constructive advice.
Nothing about Meg's post was rude. The iPhone will only display the past 100 calls. If the OP needs a phone that displays more than that, then he willeither have to wait until Apple makes a chance to the iPhone, or the OP will need to get a non-iPhone.
My guss is that perhaps Englishis not your native language, and perhaps there was something lost in translation. I assure, as a native English speaker, Meg's post was perfectly polite.
But thank you for your diligence in protecting Viral. Not sure why you waited five months, but I'm sure he appreciates you defending him.
The only useful advice here to complain LOUDLY to Apple. They supposedly have engineers smart enough to fix these issues. Almost all iOS updates are the result of people who push these phones to their limit and then complain to Apple when something doesn't work the way we want it. If YOU don't like iPhones, then you shouldn't be on this forum at all. Go over to Android Central and evangelize over there. I've been on both sides of the fence and despite some great features on Android phones, at the end of the day the iPhones perform best where it matters.
Oh, btw, there is also another solution to this problem. For now you will need to purchase one of the several software programs out there that can access your iTunes backup and extract the call logs.

Actually, complaining is useless.
Far, far better to make useful suggestions of what you would like to see instead of just telling them you don't like it.
I see that Apple has implemented similar functionality for Messages, wherein the User has the option to retain the number/duration of messages. It is very likely that this functionality will be implemented for Phone soon. Stay put... And yes, every instance of feedback counts.
So we're stuck with 100 calls that's it? On IOS7 it was like that as well? Don't recall.
If we can't get more than that, any alternatives besides using a PC/MAC tool to 'export' the calls?
If not, is there any tool recommendation?
Also, I was used to get all my call's and messages added to a gmail label as well as a google calendar, does anyone know if there is anyway to do that on iPhone? They don't allow 3rd party apps to access call log and messages right?
Even if we had to use any kind of PC/MAC sw... This is very very useful! Maybe a script that would export from any already existing tool, and submit them to gmail/calander. any know knows of any cool script or app?
The option in iPhone: Store all your calls (and messages) (with geo-localization) in your icloudy calendar? Yes/No.
It would be great...
Hi,
I am not sure if this is a bug or a back door, you can reach to old call histroy by deleting new ones. I think the limit 100 is just for display, not for history. Try to delete one of the call history records and see older one is coming to the end of the list.
My ios version is 9.2.1
The only thing you can do is go to recent call and tap on All. Then go to the last number and delete it. You will get old entries when you delete a number, just keep on deleting the last numbers and you will see old numbers. Thats the only way.

True. After a month of usage I found the iPhone to be very low on functionality when compared to android. Since some people in certain professions require call recorder and extended call log which is not there.

Then log onto you account and view your call logs that way, any professional would know that by now.
Yes! A sound advice and a very rubbish way to state that. If someone has answer then submit that else nobody asked for anyone's free advice.
Ah ha!
Thanks this is very helpful. The phone bill only shows calls OUT so if you need to find a received call deleting all the ones you know about clears the list and works really well.
The call history limit 100 but there is a way to view more. You can check this video https://youtu.be/TzlJY_aDiUk
Delete reacent calls one by one till all calls are gone you will automaticly get additional 100 reacent calls keep reapiting until you find desired number
