My iMac has been running slow lately, so I checked the Activity Monitor. A process name of ipp was listed twice, at 98% CPU. What is ipp? I've obviously quit the process, but I can not find any information on this.

IPP is internet printing protocol, used when you set up a printer over IPP. What printers do you have enabled, and are any of them network printers?
Thank you for your reply. The printer is an HP Photosmart 6520. It does not state that it is a network printer, but it does have the e-print functionality for iPads and other devices. Is there a way to prevent it from taking over my CPU again? Thanks!
