widget for dashboard won't download

From the dashboard I try to download a widget. Whatever widget I choose, I end up in http://www.apple.com/downloads/. At the end of the page there is a link to dasboard widgets and I can choose a widget again. But again when I click download: I get back to http://www.apple.com/downloads/.

How to download a widget?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Looks like the download is broken; none of the widgets I tried will download for me either. Apple hasn't updated the Dashboard Widgets listing in a couple of years now, and apparently it's finally broken. Whether it will be fixed and if so when I don't know. You can try searching the web for an alternate download location for the widget, but many probably have been abandoned by their developers.

Regards.

Slightly off topic and with apologies to Leike9691.

Hello Varjak. What do you mean when you say that Downloads is broken. That the Apple system supplying widget downloads is broken. The reason I ask is that someone on another thread has problems with widget downloads and your reply here may relate. I'm not sure it would be correct to show it here but it is currently in the Mac App Store forum.

None of the download links from the Dashboard Widgets page Leike referenced:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/

seem to work. This would have nothing to do with the Mac App Store or any other download page from Apple, so if the other thread has to do with anything other than the downloads from that Widgets page, I would know nothing about such problems.

Regards.

Not working, tried 4 different browsers two completely different operating systems, two different machines and two different country networks, only explanation would be country geo location redirect by apple, so where are you from? I am from Portugal, Europe. This is not an isolated problem since I haven't start the original posts, and there's tons of people asking for the same at several apple forum pages all over the internet.
