MAc's builtin Ethernet -midi questions.....
Hi all,
Regarding the MAC's "network" midi capabilities (mac can send midi over ethernet) It works great in Logic...
BUT the pain is that it seems every morning when I come in to the studio, I have to re-connect ALL the computers in AudioMidiSteup App under Midi / Network....
Is there a way to automate this procedure? If so, I can stick all the computers in our server room (my iso box can't handle 3G5s....gets too hot), and then run light pipes through ceiling.
The reason I want to do ethernet midi, is because if I run Ultra-long midi-cables, latency becomes an issue.....but giga-bit ethernet midi should fly right?
SvK
