When i use my earpods, the background music is louder than the voice but when i put it on speakers, its fine. How can i change the setting?
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3, iPod touch 5g
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

Woahhh thats a lot and i dont really want to restore my ipod. My right earpod works fine but my left earpod is the one which has the problem.

This may or may not work because you have an iPod Touch 5th Gen and I have a 4th Gen. Go to Settings, Music then under Shake to Shuffle and Sound Check there should be a section that says EQ and/or something that will effect the way music is played if you have that turned on. Tap that then right at the bottom is Vocal Booster. Select that then try your music again. It might work but it might not.
