Some fonts are just defective, especially free ones.

Ok. Any idea how to find a similar quality font? Seems like a like of sites with a "similar" type of search don't know about this font (http://www.identifont.com/find?similar=xenophobia&q=Go).
I think you just need to browse around on font sites looking for a suitable font. When I am adding fonts I routinely find about one out of every four has some sort of fault, and to avoid later problems I always delete them. Still, since I am only using free fonts that's pretty good I think. I have not identified any pattern to the faulty fonts and I don't know of any way to check them prior to installation, although obviously it is theoretically possible. Some font problems might not give you any grief, but I've seen some pretty weird problems caused by font issues, especially with Microsoft Word, so I recommend playing it safe.
Hope that helps.
Ivan
Why does font always install with error?
