I have had my 4S for about a year now. About once a month ( but 3 times just this week) I get a email dated 12/31/69. This email has no sender, no subject, and no content. I can not open it, nor can I delete it. It appears on my phone, but not my IPad or laptop. It is through Yahoo mail. It deletes itself usually within 15 minutes, but will sometimes, take up to a hour. Any one else experience this?

It never was a security issue. To make them go away reset your phone by holding down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
This is still an issue. This just happened on my iPhone6. Resetting did work at least.
Just happened--6s--hard reset worked--coincidentally (?) I am unable to access my Comcast mail account.
Did you do a Forced Restart on your iPhone?
Yes I did that, in addition to just turning it off. The email only appears on the iphone and not the ipad, so strange, but good.
The Forced Restart will clear the emails with that date and you shouldn't see them for awhile if ever.
No, it returns, actually to the same order of when it first came in the inbox. It regenerates itself, I delete it, it goes away, then reappears to the same spot in the list of emails..
Not my experience but if both times it was with Google mail I'm guessing it is an issue with them and not particularly your device.
I deleted the gmail account and then re-added it and that seems to work- for now.
I have this problem also. Resetting did fix it for now. But it always comes back a few days later. I have the biggest issue with my Exchange account. I do see the problem occasionally with Gmail.
They do not stop.
Resetting is only a temporary cure.
I tried changing my password. NOthing is stopping these no sender no content 12/31/00 emails.
