iPhone to Android iMessage bug fix

The bubble is blue when he sends it. It never changes or says delivered or undelivered. And I thought about that with my luck, I'll get a new number that had the same problem 🙂

Yep followed all steps. My issue has been passed onto the engineers to hopefully push it through the system faster. This is ridiculous. FTC needs to do something.

I tried calling 1-800-MyApple, and they want to charge me $20 for a service ticket?! I couldn't even get to a rep to have my account removed from the iMessage/Facetime server.

Call back and ask to speak to a supervisor.

I got the response to tell my contacts to turn on the "Send as SMS" option as well, ridiculous. Removing all instances of my iPhone and other devices from my iCloud account was not something I knew about, which I tried and it didn't help. What I was also told is that my phone number is going to be cached in each person's iPhone, as an iPhone, for at least 45 days when the phone number's token will be renewed, at which point then maybe my phone number will no longer be identified as an iPhone.

Supposedly the only thing that will work is to put the sim card back in the iPhone and disable iMessage and Facetime and then sign out of iCloud/App Store. The sim card I have now isn't the same size as the iPhone's, and Verizon apparently took my iPhone's sim card, so I'm going to go there tomorrow and have them set up an iPhone sim for me so I can use it on the spot to do all this. I'm assuming they'll help me out since I am their customer after all and am experiencing an issue that can be easily resolved in their store, and I would also assume that they would help out people who no longer have an iPhone, then again I assume companies and people are nice, so who knows.

It's criminal, really. Apple has stolen access to my number.

No one can help. According to Apple's "senior" support reps. There is no solution.

It's also quite likely that Apple does not care.

If I decide to just change my phone number all together is that a SURE solution to the problem? I would hate to go through that process only to be left in the same situation.

As mentioned couple pages before - would be very funny for people who changes numbers to get it from other iphone users...

Yep... that's, in fact, the solution I chose. That and both cursing apple every time I take my phone out of my pocket and contacting every governmental/regulatory body around.
