OS X 10.7.5 to 10.8.4?
I have a late 2007 macbook running MAC OS X 10.7.5. Why does "software update" say I'm up to date? Shouldn't I be moving on to 10.8.4?

Because there are no free OS updates available for 10.7.5. Mac OS X 10.8.4 is a paid upgrade available in the Mac App Store; a 2007 MacBook isn't capable of running it.

You will need to purchase Mountain Lion 10.8 from the Mac App Store.
Is there free version OS X 10.8. x for developer ? I want to update my OS X 10.7.5 to the latest version OS X 10.8.5 ?
Additional Question : If I update my OS X from 10.7.5 to OS X 10.8.5, Do I need to pre-store all my documents in case they get lost when upgrading the OS X ?
Thanks ( :
