Mac keeps randomly freezing

Until yesterday my 2012 13" MacBook Pro has been working perfectly. Now it freezes and all that doesn't freeze is the spinning beach ball whenever I open a program and at random intervals throughout general use. It happens even when the CPU usage is very low (sub 5%) and with lots of ram free (5+gb). It's really annoying and makes the computer very frustrating to use. Any help is much appreciated.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), Intel i7, 8gb ram, 750gb hdd

Hey I've same problem and found no solution

I change the hdd to an SSD -> same problem

change the SSD twice -> same problem

change battery -> same problem

change RAM -> same problem,

reinstall the OS and migrate the time machine backup -> same problem.

install OS Sierra complete new -> same problem

install El Capitan complete new -> same problem

install complete factory OSX Lion -> same problem

Could this be a late impact that my daughter put a litte bit of coffee at the keyboard, but this was 1,5 years ago.

Could the be the hard drive cable?

Maybe someone could help me this would be fine.

thanks

See my response in this thread - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7701746

Go back to El Capitan until you see some updates come out from Apple.

To add to this, I changed my MBP at the same time that I had Sierra and also changed the SSD to 1TB, so I thought it was a hardware problem since I did not have much experience with this particular laptop. But after downgrading to El Capitan, it is all good :-)
