Ripping VCD (Video CD's)

I have some old VCD (video CD's) that have been around for ages.

My new DVD recorder doesnt play VCD (guess the format is out of date now) so want to rip them into my Mac and re-encode into Quicktime.

Anyone know how I can do it?

iMac Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.6), 1gb, 250gb HDD, iPod Video

Would normally use the free VCD Copy X utility at http://www.ns-software.com/VCDCopyX/ but not sure how your Core Duo will react. If/once media is extracted to HDD, drop the MPEGAV folder muxed resource (.DAT) file onto the free MPEG Streamclip (from http://www.squared5.com/) work area and convert to a QT compatible target format.
