after updating to 10.8.4 my macbook pro retina boots up in 6 minutes

My Macbook Pro retina boots up very slow (6 minutes) after updating to mountain lion 10.8.4. I already did a clean install, after that the boot up time was 40-50 seconds but immediately after doing the update it boots up in 6 minutes again. when i just bought it it booted up in 20 seconds or so, i would really like it to be that fast again! does anybody know if this is a known bug or is it just me?

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Thanks for your solution, I have the same problem.

The problem is definitely related to the SD card slot.

But it is a little bit strange, I have to do it in opposite way -- The computer startup speed will gets normal only when a SD card is plugged in the slot..

I tried to reboot without a SD card plugged but the speed become very slow again.

I never use the nifty SD drvie, and the problem is happened after I upload picture from a camera SD 2 week ago, with upgraded OSX.

Does anyone share the same problem?

Thanks for your time and sharing!

Dear Jonas

I have the same problem, i have also updated to 10.8.4 and my reboot/startup time is 6 minutes and 15 sec. I have also upgrades my Macbook Pro 13 (Primo,2011) to Samsung SSD 840 Pro hardrive and memory from 4 to 8 GB. It is really fast in the system, so thats i am happy about. But the rebooting is a big problem.

The slow problem i had before i change my new SSD drive and memory. It started when i updated to 10.8.4 version. Should i remove my SD holder, how to do that?? Is it easy??

I have done PRAM and all the other tings, cleaned and so on. Nothing helped so i found this thread i guess this could be same problem for me. So should i remove it, but how??

Thanks in advance.
