Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
I really, really would like the Audiobook to be in the "Books" category. Not the "Music" category. But iTunes seems to have the I.Q. of an ice cube, and the complete immobility of a glacier.
Simply Dragging from one category to another is not working. Neither is Copy and Paste. How do I move "The Wind in the Willows" album from "Music" to "Books"?

0. Navigate to iTunes.
1. Display and select the audio files you want to move from 'Music' to 'Books'.
2. Right click (on Windows -- on a Mac do whatever is the equivalent).
3. Click/choose 'Get Info'.
4. Click/choose the 'Options' tab.
5. For 'Media Kind', click/choose 'Audiobooks'.
6. Click/press the 'OK' button.
7. Watch iTunes reclassify the files.
8. Click/choose Books & see your Audiobooks.
I admit to being frustrated sometimes in reading solutions, because the starting point for the instructions is somewhere (somewhere!) beyond my own starting point. 😕

I will add one item to your solution: You must look under the Tab "Options" to find the "Media Kind", and change it to Audiobooks -- there.
No use to just try to look under the Tab "Info", and change the "Genre" to "Audiobook". That doesn't work.
OK, I apologize ahead of time.
I have downloaded another Audiobook "Swiss Family Robinson" from LibriVox.org. I created a Playlist, so that I could "Burn Playlist to Disc". Now that I am done burning the CDs, I would like to save the Playlist permanently into Audiobooks.
It doesn't work -- and I KNOW this time it is my fault. It seems to me that I have easily transferred a Playlist into both/either Music and Audiobooks before.
But, it kind of seems like the menu item at the top of the screen is not there. And Drag & Drop does not work.
If I might ask kindly, *** am I missing?

I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for the complete solution. Everything worked correctly, and in the correct order. This is how every answer for every forum question should be answered!
P.S. on #2, the Mac equivalent of Right Click is usually a Control-Click (i.e. hold down the Control Key, and click the item). Although not universally true, this does work in iTunes.
