I lost my Iphone4. So trying to find out all possible ways to track it. It was ringing for 2 hours after I lost it and then its switched off. I am wondering if the GPS works while the phone is switched off if not then will the GPS work withough cellular service (network provider/chip/SIM).
I do not have "find my phone" installed.

If you backed up using iTunes on a computer, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 for the location of the backup file. The backup file can be read but it is necessary to find the right tool for the file format. Will if I have that in my notes.
