I created a script that checks for an internet connection, and if present backsup some important files if modified to my server using Transmit. I would like it to run in the background once a day. I currently have it set up to run daily in iCal which works fine, but I now have all these iCal events listed on all my iDevices. Is there another way I can do this?

Apparently bold does not show in the code there. The change was to add <string>open</string> as the first ProgramArguments entry.
Thank you Topher, its now working perfectly. I guess I need to stick to the Terminal editor, cus it wasnt working with TextEdit. The terminal editor was for some reason creating the plist files with .save at the end, but as soon as I removed that it worked fine.
Great! Glad it's helped. If you find yourself doing more of these type of edits and customizations, you might benefit from using a more robust text editor. One I recommend is the free TextWrangler: http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/
