iPad mini | AT&T 7 days 1GB data/$0.99 plan option?

I had the 250MB/30 day plan for $14.99. However, I didn't renew it, and went without data for a couple days. When I went back on to subscribe to the 250MB/30 day plan, I saw another plan, 1GB for 7 days, for just $0.99. So I tried it. And sure enough, I got 1GB of data for 7 days.

Anyone else get offered this data plan? I wonder if it's a one-time thing and after the 7 days, it will be gone. If not, I'll be using this every week. $4/month for 4GB??? That's what they should be charging anyway!

I'll post back after 7 days to see if lets me continue this great plan. Also, although it doesn't say LTE next to that plan, I am getting LTE speeds and I get the LTE icon on top. I don't know if this is one of those offers you get after you don't renew and it's gone....

Anyone else have any info on this?

I got this plan as well a couple days ago, shocked as ever. And being the intense data user that I am, I hit the 2% quota in just 2 days. Went to renew it with the same 1GB/0.99/7 days plan and unsurprisingly, it wasn't there anymore.

Before that, I was paying for 3 GB/$30 each month. So now I have to upgrade to 5 GB/$50 because I use so much data. :( Sad, but it was cool while it lasted. Imagine paying $4/mo/ for 4GB!

My 7-day period ran out. As promised in the legalese email, it's not there any longer. It's a one time deal.

I don't understand why they'd offer a pretty nice plan, with no renewal, as a one-time deal, unless it was part of some idiot class-action lawsuit.

Many people on Macrumors bought 6 months to a years worth and they are being allowed to use them, one 1GB of data package per week. It said limited to one but the option to buy additional packages didn't go away after buying the first one.
