Dell S2240L monitor
I am using a Dell S2240L monitor with my Mac Mini and find the text very "grainy". I have changed settings but this does not help, anyone have any advice?

Are there any controls on the Monitor for Input source, like PC, DVD, etc?
Sounds like it's using some smoothing technique for the display to smooth Video.

Thank you for the reply unfortunately there is no input source on the monitor except for HDMI or VGA. I was using the HDMI ports on the Mac Mini and the monitor. This evening I bought a thunderbolt to HDMI connector and this has helped with improving the image quality of my photographs, however text is still fairly grainy.....open to suggestions!
No other On-Screen Display setting on the Monitor at all?
This monitor uses an on screen menu system controlled by the side buttons

Oh, the solution is easy enough. Use the buttons on the side of the monitor to change the Preset Modes to one of the following - Cool, Standard or Multimedia.
