Airport Utility V6.3 Update

Software update identified a new Airport Utility version (V6.3) and the update was installed. However, the new version no longer sees my AirPort Extreme (says the device "was" part of my network but is no longer. Airport Utility V6.2 (still on another machine) still sees the existing AirPort Extreme normally, and can edit the configuration with no problems. The Airport Extreme is an 802.11n (4th Generation) device. Any thoughts?

Apple has just posted Airport Utility V6.3.1, with the following update note:

Use AirPort Utility to set up and manage your 802.11n and 802.11ac AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Time Capsule. AirPort Utility 6.3.1 resolves an issue where AirPort base stations may not appear in AirPort Utility.

For the latest information on AirPort software, check Software Update in System Preferences or the following Apple Support Downloads website: http://support.apple.com/downloads/.

The 6.3.1 update did not work for me. It sees my Airport Extreme just fine, but it still cannot see my Airport Express Base Station.

Same on the current iOS version.

If by any chance you are using an older, 802.11b/g only Express you will need to use this workaround to install an earlier version of AirPort Utility on a Mac.

The iOS version of AirPort Utility will not work for those older Express models.
