My sisters i5 did that and I held down the power button and the round button on the bottom front and it came on within 30 seconds......

DId you fix it? I don't know what causes the problem, but holding down the home button and power button seems to work.

Ok, that solution worked very well for me. Home button and power together for about 10 second while connected to my IMAC via USB. What did this trick do/activate?
