Do you need credit to send an imessage
I you have no credit on your iphone 5, will you still be able to send an imessage?

iMessages do not have text messaging fees, no.
Be sure to turn of "Send as SMS" in Settings however. If your 3G or internet access drops out, it'll often try to send as an SMS instead. Doing the aforementioned will prevent this.
