NetGear GS108 does not like MBP Gigabit Ethernet Card

It will autosense at 100, and if you manually change to 1000bastT it will not get a link.

Powermac G5 and Macbook Pro 15" 2.0 - Running 10.4.6, Mac OS X (10.4.2), Logic 7.1.1 Rewired Reason AND 7.2

It could be something wrong with either component, of course. And then again, maybe they don't like each other.

Can you borrow a Linksys, or other brand to test? I would probably buy one and then test it. If it worked and I needed that speed, I would keep the Linksys. If it didn't work, I think I would call Apple, and then return the Linksys for a refund.

(I know that it's kinda cheesy . . . .)
