Does ibook need wifi to let you read the books?

Im going on holiday soon and im not sure if my family there have wifi and i can only access the internet through a device, its not accessable everywhere.so when im on a long road trip i want to read something but im not sure if you need wifi to read a book because ive already downloaded it in ibooks store. So do you need wifi? Thanks
