What model is my iphone 5, GSM or CDMA?

My iphone is model number A1429 and according to this site my phone is GSM & CDMA. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3939 However, some people say that it's only CDMA if on Verizon and Sprint. I bought my phone in the UK so is it GSM or GSM & CDMA? If CDMA is only verizon and Sprint why does it not say this on the Apple site, and why is there not a similar page on the UK site for UK users? What would happen if I installed the wrong software/ipsw file? TIA

Again, I never said my phone is CDMA. The whole point of the thread was to find out if it was or not. If you put that sentence you quoted into context you will see that I was asking whether or not mine is CDMA quoting that that site said it is, yet I've read that CDMA is US only.

So I never said it was CDMA, just was asking if it was as different sources have conflicting info. Hope this clarifies it?

I have been using the ios 7 beta and have to manuall install the final IOS7 as the beta won;t update to the final version.

Anyway, I am in Hong Kong my iphone 5 is the A1429 and I assumed its the GSM model (iphone5,1) since Hong Kong does not have CDMA so I downloaded IOS7 iphone5,1 ipsw but it said that the firmware was incompatible.

So I downloaded the CDMA IOS7 (iphone5,2) and that worked, so iPhone 5 that are sold in Hong Kong seem to be the CDMA version....

update: nope that didn't work, halfway through updating it said it could not update and put my phone into recovery mode and just using itunes to do a clean install of ios7 now. glad I backed up before doing anything.
