Scanning with Canon MF3010

Hi,

I've installed both the printer and the scanner drivers and utitilies from the official website. The printing works fine, but when I try to scan it fails with an error. What I do is I turn on and plug in the scanner, put a document in it, open up the "MF Toolbox" application (which was installed with the scanner driver), click a scan button and then "Start" in the new dialog.

I've also tried scanning by going into my system settings -> printing & scanning and that also did not work.

Is this a known issue and is there any hope that this will be fixed soon?

The device that I am using is Canon MF3010 plugged in via USB. Driver description on Canon website says it supports MacOS X 10.8.

Thanks,

Stepan.

Hello,

I have exectly the same case, that stepantubanovdescribes.

Any time I use Scan button in MF Toolbox, it crashes, and I have error in log about MFScanner1 process crash.

Do you have any update how to fix it?

PAHU, answering your question: When I run MF Toolbox, MF3010 is listed as USB connected. After I press Start (scan), it crashes. And doesn't launch again, until I restart (or reconnect the scanner).

I've already reinstalled OS and upgraded it from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5, but error is the same.

I don't have this model at home. So I will test when I get back to work later this week and see if I can recreate your issue and provide a solution.

You mention a crash log. Can you provide some of that log information - I don't need all of it, just the part that shows the process that crashed.
