TNT shipment tracking woes - familiar?

(Because the other thread is huge)

Ordered my MacBook online on 28th May (Sunday), and was given a delivery date of 7th June. I can track the shipment fine through TNT. Only problem is, it's the 6th of June and the status hasn't changed since June 1st. It's still in China:

Two phonecalls to TNT yielded the same answer: the last place it was scanned was the depot in China and it's still on schedule for delivery on the 7th, so it should be fine. Now I'm no expert on the logistics of international shipping, but it strikes me as highly unlikely that TNT will be able to get my MacBook from China to Scotland inside a day and a half when it normally seems to take them a week and a half.

Has anyone else had (or is having) a similar experience?

Spoke to TNT.....AGAIN.....should be out for delivery Thursday/Friday......so 11/12 days in transit....and 15/16 days from original order.....smokin!

This is very odd. When I spoke to TNT earlier today, they said that my macbook was already in Denmark, but now it seems that it's actually still in Holland. Anyway, it should arrive in Denmark tomorrow morning and be out for delivery also tomorrow.

According to TNT: Apple said, customer is on holiday.
Please wait with delivery.
Apple trackings says: "Holiday/Closed"
Call TNT for new appointment.
-> This backs TNT's version.

Apple says: This is not true. We have not (never ever)
said this.

Arrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I want my replacement unit.

As far as I can tell from speaking to TNT the 'Receiver On Holiday' message refers to Arnhem being closed due to the national holidays there and is not related to us, the recipients. I an hoping that my MacBook will be scanned in the UK later today and might therefore reach me tomorrow or on Friday.

Yep, same here. In fact TNT actually called themselves to apologise for the delay and to promise delivery either tomorrow or Friday. It had better be tomorrow, because I'm going straight to the pub on Friday for the 5pm kick-off!

No joy from this end yet. Tracker hasn't moved since yesterday. Extremely annoying because I won't be around to receive the parcel tomorrow.

I'm not out of the woods either. Most packaged arrive at my office before lunch so, despite a colleage assuring me that it will arrive at 2.20, I'm not so confident that I will now see it today.

Well, the tracker still hasn't updated, but my MacBook has finally arrived with me in Edinburgh. So that's 11 days after it was order and 7 days after it left the factory. I'm not sure how this compares with other people's experiences, but it strikes me that TNT is pretty slow.

Looking forward to getting the thing home from work (it's heavy in the box).

Mine's arrived too!! I'm not as patient as you and I've unpacked it at work, plugged in my 2GB memory upgrade and I'm now going to run through any updates that need doing. It is a beautiful machine and mine looks to be perfect in terms of no gaps in the case and there has been no mooing yet.

It's been great waiting along with you guys and thank you for all being as nervous and impatient as me. For the record, my MacBook was ordered on Friday, 26th May, was dispatched on Monday the 29th and arrived on 8th June ... 11 days in transit!
