how do i paste what I have just print screened?

I have captured a screen shot, is there a short cut to paste?

I tried CTRL+V and it does not work, Is there something besides inserting pic into a document?

If you captured it to a PNG, open it and copy its contents to the desired location. If you captured it to the clipboard(press Control as well as the other keystrokes), paste it directly.

Go up to the Spotlight search and type Grab

This application can be used to capture Screen,Selection or Window.

After you capture what you want you can copy paste or save as several options.
