I do it from iTunes but then when I go to "hidden apps" on "my account" it's not there uploaded. Then I come back to "purchased" and I see the app. What can I do? What's not working?

Do i have to used Itunes to do this or could i do this on the phone?

If your phone is on iOS 6 then you will need to use your computer's iTunes to hide and unhide items - it's not currently supported directly on iOS 6 devices, you can see what is hidden and re-download them on the device, but you can't hide or unhide them on it.
