gmail background image on retina display

Hello,

I use GMail as webmail with a theme.

The background image is not resized on the retina display of my macbook pro retina. I have another display (not retina) and when the browser is on the non-retina display, the background is resized to fit to the browser.

I've tried with Safari, Chrome and Firefox and all browsers have the same issue.

Any idea on how it can be fixed ?

I already fried to repair permissions, reset PRAM.

OS : 10.8.4

Best regards,

Sébastien

I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro 13" with retina screen and Gmail's background doesn't resize to fill the screen, but leaves a vertical space of approx. 1/12th of the screen width, to the right. It doesn't bother me and I've always assumed it is because the resolution of the retina is larger than what Gmail will scale it's backgrounds to.

Incidentally, this happens only on Chrome, not in Safari.
