Screen flickering when scrolling?

Hi, just wanted to know if there is any fix for screen flickering while scrolling especially on white bacgrounds. The eyes strain is inmense.

I´ve taken my macbook pro 13-inches mid-2012 to the shop where I bought it and notice that every single macbook pro and air had the same problem. The only one that escape from this was the macbook pro with retina display.

I´ve already reset my PRAM twice, and keeps the same. This seems pretty much a general problem that I could not identify. No matter what calibration you use for your screen it´s the same. Don´t really know if it's hardware or software related, but it's really anoiyng to pay 1249.00€ for a machine that you can stress your eyes in haf a our of reading. Anyone has a fix for this?

My screen is a LG PHILIPS:

I´ve been in the store and every single macbook pros and airs had the same problem, I should have return it,

Specify "flickering" in more detail.

I've had a bit more than 40 or so new 2013 Macbook Air in hand, never seen same, and own one.

As per the 2012 model Air Ive had maybe 50 or more thru hand and never seen same.

Can you take a video with your Iphone of this 'flickering', post it to youtube or otherwise for a look.

Deductively, SINCE YOU ARE IN EUROPE, Im making a groundless assumption at this point you have a power flicker. Do you only see the flicker when plugged in?

Was I the only one to notice that most (or all?) of people in this thread (referring to the other thread like this) reporting same are in Europe or at least in the "Land of 220V" ??

Another thread on LCD Flicker of a IMac (doesnt matter if its an Imac....power is power.....LCD is LCD, realistically).

I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro and the flicker problem.

Here is a shaky video I made. The link color is clear blue but turns to cyan blue when scrolling. Use the arrow keys in QT Player to go frame by frame.

There are two graphics cards in my MBP. One for lower power consumtion. If I turn off the setting for automatic selection the best graphics card is always active, but the flicker is still there. Running the mac on battery makes no difference either.

I've had to return a 2013 air due to this issue. From my research, this problem is in close to 100% of macbooks, but goes unnoticed by like 95% of the users. Case in point are several friends and customer service representatives that agree that problem exists when I point it to them, but it either doesn't really bother them or they haven't paid attention. I went to several stores in my city to confirm that this problem exists in every macbook I could get my hands to. This problem is also present in the latest Retina screens in some way, but it's much alleviated there. I would even say that it's close to bearable.

To me, as someone who works with texts and graphics, this is completely unacceptable. On top of that, it makes my eyes sore and gives me headaches, although I don't have any vision problems on other screens. These screens are bad for health, it's not supposed to be like this.

In general, I'm extremely disappointed to experience this from apple products and to have no official stance on this problem from apple. This is just not something you expect from the otherwise top quality products. When you have a $300 laptop from early 2000's that doesn't show any signs of the issue (I have one lying around), and the whole line of premium macbooks since who knows what year are behaving like that, something is seriously wrong.
