Help with iSight camera/Facetime HD

iSight camera works as a mirror image on FaceTime App and Photo Boot which I like, but FaceTime HD on chatroulette, or any other website that needs to access my webcam doesn't mirror my webcam. How can I fix this? I've tried installing Manycam which ended up not being able to find a video source. My computer is mid 2013 Macbook Air. Thank you!

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Each software app controls your camera, so there is no elegant way to reverse Flash video like that used in chatroulette. If you are determined to reverse it, the best I can suggest is a kludged alternative to position a mirror as best you can so you are making video of your image in the mirror.

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting comments apply.)
