Now That's What I Call Music Compilations - Where Do They Match To

I have every single Now That's What I Call Music compilation album (uk main series) from Now 1 right through to the current album Now 84. I use iTunes Match and am concerned about where these tracks match to. The iTunes Store only has Now 70 upwards so where are Now's 1 to 69 matching too? I am assuming they are matching to the albums that the tracks were taken from but can anyone (from Apple or otherwise) clarify the situation. I have invested a lot of money in the Now series (on CD) and will continue to purchase new releases on CD. Is there any way of ensuring that all future Now purchases 100% match to the compilation album on the iTunes Store. Many thanks.

This is a user-to-user forum; no one from Apple participates. However, what we do know is the tracks in your iTunes library are matched to the tracks that are available (but sometimes not visible for sale) in your "store of record." So, they are matching to tracks in the UK iTunes Store.

No. The tracks will match, if they do match, to what they match to. We, as users, have no control over the process.

Hi,

If the now album is available in iTunes Store you should get a match with that album but there is no guarantee that you will get 100% match.

As the Now albums are compilation of top selling singles, I would expect that you will get a match with the artists original album, again assuming that track is available. It is possible that the tracks are edited versions of the original release so that they can maximise the playing time. I have found this with other top selling compilations - the tracks do not match.
