I created a rectangle and added text to it. Now, I would like to change it to a circle, but preserve the text. In PPT, I could do this easily. In keynote it looks like I have to create a new shape and delete the old. Pls help!
I'm using Keynote '09, version 5.3
draw a circle from Shapes menu
with the circle shape selected, Format > Copy Style
select the rectangle shape
Format > Paste Style
Hi Gary, thanks for you note. When I do this, it just applies the formatting of the text from the circle to the rectangle. It doesn't actually change the shape. Am I missing something?
Ah! I had thought this was possible, but unfortunately, while you CAN copy and paste the formatting, there doesn't appear to be a way to change an already created shape to another shape.
