Hi,
I bought Max Payne 3 on the Mac App Store yesterday and was able to download it at work.
Now I have tried to download it to my private computer numerous times since then but it fails every time. I've googled the problem and deleted caches etc. without any success.
What to do? I really want to play this game ...
Hmm, I don't want to create a new user accout. Why should I need to do that?
Anyways, it fails at the same place everytime basically. I click "install" and then I get a failure message or occationally a "you must be 17 bla bla bla" and after that the same failure. To me it seems the download doesn't even start ...
Translated from swedish the error message is something like:
"Could not download Max Payne 3"
"Use the purchase page if you want to try again"
Well, can you describe the details on how it fails? Always at the same place?

I'm having a similar problem, only mine will start the download, but then at around 25 gb in with only 5 hours left, it tells me it was interrupted. I've also looked up the problem, but nothings working. Contacted apple support and they tried to help, but they really aren't. Contacted Rockstar, but they have yet to respond.
BTW I'm downloading mine on the same account I bought it on.
Well of course you will only be able to download it with the same Apple ID..... Not sure how that helps here?
In any case, creating a second user account can help us troubleshoot where the issue is. If you dont want to try that, then you might as well quit looking for a solution.
At least we know now it's not accout specific. Now we need to find out what element system wide is causing this, it could be your ISP or a few other things.
Could you try to perhaps disconnect your router, and plug your modem directly into your computer? Let's see what happens there.
Is there another Mac you could try to grab this from as wel?

Im having the same problem. Bought max payne yesterday and not working propertly. I fail when the installation is about to start after finish downloading. I get the same error message "Could not download max payne 3"
Tried upgrade everything and rebooting system but still same issue. Hope you find a solution to this problem. I really want to play this game 🙂 Thanks

I've managed to solve the problem. In my case it was a disk problem. I've replaced my HDD with a SSD that supports TRIM. I didn't realize it had to be activated in the OS as well. Memory was not freed and disk size wasn't reported correctly. After enabling trim and running the disk tool, everything is back on track again :-)
Well, I'll try the second option first. I can easily try a download on another computer, and if it fails, then that pretty much confirms its my internet. Plugging into the modem really isn't an option for me, but perhaps someone else could try it.
I just tried reinstalling the app store, that didn't work either.

FYI: Apps can only be re downloaded using the same Apple ID use for the original purchase.
Well, I made a new account and attempted the download, but it failed again. Told me it interrupted at the same time as my previous attempts.
