I selected on my ipad to download the update. It then came up for me to connect to itunes. When I connected it, it said that I had to restore the ipad, so i preceded to restore. It gets 3/4 thru and it stops during the restore to ipad firmware and will not continue to restore. What do i need to do to get it to restore? The ipad does not come on so i can't do anything in the settings.

I tried it and it would always get to about 60 % and freeze up. It says that it is restoring the firmware. It will not go any further. I bought the ipad from my sister and she did not buy any warranty on it. So I am in need of some major help!
Try disabling your firewall and antivirus software when you are trying to restore. See if that helps.
