'No device drivers were found' during Windows 7 installation. Please help!!

Okay, so I ran Boot Camp. I installed the Windows Support Software without a problem, and those files are saved on my USB. I created a Windows partition using my Windows installation disc, also, no problems with that. I'm at the stage where my Mac has actually rebooted with Windows 7 (the installation process), I've selected my language, clicked 'Install Now' and it says 'Setup is starting' but then comes to a page that says 'Select the driver to be installed.' I have connected the USB with the Windows Support Software and pressed Rescan and it can't detect ANYTHING. Please help, I've been at this for hours and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong! Keep in mind I'm not really tech-savvy so an easy-to-understand answer would be great. Perhaps even a link to the drivers I need to have on my USB for this to work? Whatever works! Thanks!

P.S. Would the drivers be in a very specific folder in the Windows Support Software maybe? :/

Hi Donna,
To be honest, I didn't know the problem was the ISO file itself - I had just run out of options and out of frustration, downloaded another ISO file and followed the same procedure as before. I then used the Boot Camp PDF manuals to successfully install Windows, which are actually very helpful when things are working as they should! If you haven't done so already, I would reccommend trying with another ISO, as this turned out to be the only problem with mine. As far as I understand, everything runs pretty well by itself if the ISO works.

Hope I helped, but if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask 🙂

I am having the same issue here and cannot get it resovled. I cannot get passed the "No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click ok". Which ISO file did you download the 2nd time that worked? I've gone through the steps in the PDF about 4 times now and I still cannot get passed this issue.

Ironcially, it worked perfectly on the 13 inch MBP I bought on Friday. I returned that one today to upgrade to the top line 15 inch MBP and cannot get Windows installed. So frustrating!

PLEASE HELP!

I ended up having Boot Camp create the bootable USB drive from the ISO & the associated support drivers all in one. I had previously created the bootable USB drive on my PC from the Win7 ISO and a separate USB drive with the supported drivers, etc from Boot Camp. This approach worked on my 13 inch MBP but for some reason, my new 15 inch MBP couldn't recognize both USB drives at the same.

So - I copied the ISO over to my mac, and let Boot Camp create a single USB drive with BOTH the Win7 ISO and the supported drivers.

This fixed my issue .... very strange that one approach (2 separate USB drives) worked with the 13 inch but the single USB drive only worked with the 15 inch.

Wish I could get those 3 hours back 🙂

Can you expand on this a bit. I've been working on getting this to work for 2 days now.

I'm getting close (I think) to getting it all to work but I'm stuck at the same point you were. I'm at the part where I have the Windows setup screen and it's asking me to locate the drivers.

Again, can you expand on that part above that I've quoted?
