buying an Iphone unlocked on ebay??

The only way to verify that a phone is indeed unlocked and not jailbroken is to contact the carrier/Apple to verify the phone. If you're paranoid about buying it on Ebay try a local service to have the device unlocked so you can go meet the person in the flesh and call up Apple/Carrier to confirm that the device is unlocked

You have to be wary of any iPhone bought on ebay, search these forums and you'll see tons of threads of people doing the same and having issues.

Keep this in mind... If it's a new, sealed, unlocked iPhone 5, why would anyone be willing to sell it for less than the full retail price unless they are trying to rip you off.

As advised walk away unless you want a locked iPhone
