SSD's which are OK for updating firmware on a Mac?

I'm looking at a couple SSD's for a MacPro, any thoughts on which are OK with updating firmware on a Mac? Probably better to ask now before I need to..

Crucial M500 or Samsung 840 Pro? I'm assuming that OWC's offerings are probably the best for Mac compatiblity, any others?

you would want the Pro controller with two chips to get 900MB/sec.

doesn't stop you from using two SSDs just is not optimal for stripe now is it.

I think www.sonnettech.com and even OWC product page on the Pro Tempo are clear about the specs.
